a delicate walk

over soft petals festooned

with tender dew drops

lady in red sips her drink

while the yellow florets watch

A Tanka is a Japanese poem consisting of 31 syllables in 5 lines, written in the short – long-short- long -long format

  14. The picture is beautiful. The poem is sweet and perfect with the choice of words like ‘delicate’, ‘soft’ and ‘tender’. Lady in red. These days I too have been much into personification. Lady bugs are anyway referred to as ladies.
