Unique Expressions of Art

Warli Wall Art Festival, 2014.

When the walls of a school were used as canvas, it resulted in some amazing paintings!

The Wall Art Festival was organized for promoting sustainable international cooperation through the Power of Art. The walls of a primary school in Warli, Gujarat were used as a canvas on which two artists, one from India, the other from Japan, made paintings on the majority of the wall in two separate classrooms.

Sculpture of San Francisco created with toothpicks.

Artist Scott Weaver created this incredibly complex kinetic sculpture of San Francisco, using 100,000 toothpicks, sourced from around the world. The elaborate sculpture is comprised of multiple “tours” that move pingpong balls through neighborhoods, historical locations, and iconic symbols of San Francisco, all recreated with a little glue, some toothpicks, and an incredible amount of ingenuity. On his website Weaver estimates he’s spent over 3,000 hours on the project.

    • Thanks Cameron. I did check your blog. It looks interesting, though I must admit that though I appreciate art, I do not really understand much of fashion.
